Entrepreneur, Board Member and Professor

Michael Hilb is Founder and CEO of DBP Holding, a global business group with a focus on developing digital growth platforms in Asia and Europe. He serves on the supervisory boards of Klingelnberg, IMP-HSG and the Board Foundation, among others, and is Titular Professor at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, lecturing strategy, entrepreneurship and digital governance at universities in Asia and Europe.

From 2010 to 2018, Michael was Vice President, Group Strategy and Digital Business at DKSH, a USD 11 bn market expansion services provider with focus on Asia, where he built with his team a leading, profitable Pan-Asian online distribution business serving 400 brands in eight markets managing the company’s fastest-growing channel and setup and led the company's Innovation, Analytics and Digital Marketing teams in addition to running the Group Strategy, Digital Platform, Business Excellence and Business Transformation functions. He joined DKSH after five years with Roland Berger, an international strategy consultancy, and working as a Project Manager for Holcim Commerce, a multinational construction materials group.

Michael studied business at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, the Stockholm School of Economics and the University of St. Gallen, where he graduated with an MSc and a PhD in Management and a CAS in Board Effectiveness. He was Fellow at Harvard University and Visiting Research Fellow at INSEAD in France and Singapore. He completed executive education programs at IMD and Harvard Business School and a CAS in Big Data and Machine Learning from the University of Zurich.
